Macmillan Benefits Advice Service
At Warrington Citizens Advice we have a team of dedicated Macmillan Advisers who are able to support anyone living or caring for someone with Cancer who are Warrington residents.

Most cases are referred into the service directly from Nurse Specialists across the Northwest.
We initially complete a full Benefits Review where we identify any applicable benefits and can offer support with:
- Disability Benefits – Personal Independence Payment, Attendance Allowance
- Means Tested Benefits – Universal Credit (including UC Migration, Work Capability Assessments), Pension Credit, Council Tax Support, Housing Benefit
- Earnings Replacement Benefits – New Style Employment Allowance (including Work Capability Assessments), State Pension, Carers Allowance, Bereavement Support Allowance
- Grants
We offer advice and signposting on a range of subjects including:
- Local support groups
- Palliative care
- Counselling
- Holistic Therapies
- Wills
- Employment
- Debt
- Housing
- Food and Fuel Vouchers
- Energy Tariffs and Savings

The Macmillan Support Line is available if require general information about cancer, emotional or financial support. It’s open 7 days a week from 8am till 8pm on 0808 808 0000. Please note that the Macmillan Support Line team don’t have access to your medical records.
